The only facility of its kind in Canada, the Schlegel Centre for Entrepreneurship was designated as a CMA Canada Centre of Excellence in Management Accounting for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. This initiative is aimed at expanding the boundaries of management accounting and enhancing the competitiveness of Canadian small businesses.

The Centre facilitates interaction between entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), management accountants, faculty, and students through a research program, workshops, a speaker series, and publications.
